This handmade garden flowers travel mug would be a great gift for Valentines day or Mother’s day! A bouquet of flowers will die off in a week or so, but these flowers will stay in bloom forever.
The travel mug was hand thrown on the pottery wheel. When it dried out a bit, I applied colorful underglazes and carved through to make the details. This technique is called sgraffito. It is glazed a brilliant blue on the inside and a clear and translucent purple on the outside.
The scene includes a variety of flowers, roses and a dragonfly with a swirl design.
The travel mug is about 5 inches tall, 3.5 inches wide at the rim and 2.75 inches at the base so it will fit into most vehicle cup holders.
The silicone lid comes with 4 color options…red, hot pink and yellow. Please indicate which color you’d like in the notes.
