I live in Limington, Maine and have a home studio in my garage. I make handmade functional pottery on the wheel mostly decorated with a process called Sgraffito. Basically Sgraffito is where you paint on a slip or underglaze and carve through.
Currently I am working with mid-range clay and glazes and fire my kiln to around 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. In this range, I’m able to make really colorful pottery but with more strength than low fire. All of my work is made for everyday use and is microwave and dishwasher safe!
I have 3 girls aged 7-12 (as I write this 2020) a dog, a cat, 2 bunnies and some chickens (that you might see walking around if you come to one of my studio shows). In my spare time, I enjoy walking, gardening and spending time with my family.
