Description
This adorable llama mug depicts 3 different sized llamas with colorful blankets. It was hand thrown on the pottery wheel with a white stoneware. When it dried out, I applied a black underglaze in the shape of the llamas and carved through. This technique is called sgraffito.
I glazed the inside of the pottery mug a deep purple. Colored in the llamas with various underglazes and glazed the outside clear.
The mug or tea cup is 4 inches tall and 4.5 inches wide with the handle. It holds 14oz of liquid and is light weight, weighing 11oz. It has a very comfortable handle as well!
