Description
This ceramic bowl is part of a series I call “Fun with Shapes & Colors.” It was hand thrown on the pottery wheel and when it dried out a bit, I painted on orange yellow and blue squares with underglaze. Then I carved designs in the squares.
The bowl is a good size for a healthy appetite at 6.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall and will hold a large portion of soup, ice cream, etc.
The inside of the bowl is glazed castile blue and the outside has a clear glaze to ensure the sgraffito designs show through.
This pottery bowl is dishwasher and microwave safe.
